Since 1997, ADEPT Community Services, Inc. has served people with developmental disabilities in Florida through the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD), iBudget Waiver. Our team members include Waiver Support Coordinators, CDC+ Consultants and Billing Coordinators/Admin Staff.

With offices located in Tampa, Wildwood and Bartow, we serve individuals in 11 counties across the APD Central and Suncoast Regions.

All full-time employees are offered health, dental, vision and life insurance after 90 days of continuous employment. Additionally, employees may enroll in our 401(k) plan after 90 days.

Employees are provided with vacation and sick leave, as well as paid holidays.

Waiver Support Coordinator

What is Waiver Support Coordination?

Support Coordination is the service of advocating, identifying, developing, coordinating and accessing supports and services on behalf of individuals or assisting individuals and their families to access supports and services on their own through the Medicaid iBudget Waiver.

Support Coordinators maintain ongoing, monthly contact with individuals and their circle of supports. Support Coordinators maintain the central file for each individual served. Support Coordinators work with the individual served to annually develop and maintain the Person Centered Support Plan.

What are the minimum qualifications?

Support Coordinators must:

- have at least a bachelor's degree in developmental disabilities, special education, mental health, counseling, guidance, social work or health and rehabilitative services;

- have at least two years professional experience in developmental disabilities, special education, mental health, counseling, guidance, social work or health and rehabilitative services;

- be able to pass a full background check to meet Florida State standards.
